Stars – Calendar Girl

Thankfully I’ve know about the Stars well before I saw the movie One Week. One of my best friends introduced me to their music. He’s like you have to hear this album (Set Yourself On Fire) Given that he’s generally not excited about, well anything! I realized that I definitely had to check out this group. Don’t regret making that decision, because it’s now one of my all time favorite albums.

If you see the movie and the lyrics they used. You’ll see why this was such a perfect song to use. It’s not often that you get a piece of music that works so well in a scene.

You can purchase the song here. Or if the video link is down (Which is highly possible, since there’s no official video), you can still hear a 30 second clip in your browser.

All right, Lyndon. You win. Tomorrow, unless something dreadful happens, I'm going to watch “One Week”.

The Stars are kind of dreamy, aren't they?

Before you rush off to see One Week Lorna, I should warn you the subject matter is kind of depressing!!

I think that's a great description of the Stars, well their first album. The latter one, sounds very different.
