I saw this a few day ago, but I failed to bookmark the site
But anyway, here’s the rules if you decide to join me as well.
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 56.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next seven sentences in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don’t dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST.
The nearest book that I have, since I don’t think magazines count is “Anthony Bourdain’s - Les Halles Cookbook“
Unfortunately when I turned it to page 56, I discovered a bit of a problem. It doesn’t have a fifth sentence, since it’s a picture of the ingredients of a salad nicoise; I think. So I’ve had to modify this a bit and I’ve decided to go back a page.
Cook over high heat for 5 to 6 minutes or until the shells are bright red all over. Do not scorch. Add in the tomato paste and mix well. After another 2 minutes of cooking and stirring, remove the pot from the heat and stir in the Cognac (unless you like setting your hair on fire, and enjoy the taste of burnt, brackish lobster shells.) With the spoon, scrape the bottom of the pot to dislodge all those tasty brown bits. Return the pot carefully to the fire, add water and the bouquet garni, and season with salt and pepper.
Later…

Not a single book in sight…
@ Michael - Not one ?? It’s time to put down the remote or walk away from the computer screen and pick yourself up a good book. Your mind will thank you for it!!
I did it with the closest book. Not the least bit exciting.
Yeah, yeah…
Never got to used to reading books as a child.
@ Jafer - Never claimed it was exciting, just something to do
Maybe we both need better books?
@ Michael - I guess it’s one of those things, that you either really like to do or don’t. Oh well!
