The Day After

by Lyndon on November 5, 2008

So the euphoria has died down and I’ve had time to collect my thoughts and I’m still not sure how I feel? While part of me is exited about the possibilities, the dream, the new hope. Given the mess that Mr. Obama is going to inherit, I don’t see how he can even achieve much of anything. Two wars, a devastated economy, an environment on the brinks of collapse. If he’s able to turn the current situation around, he won’t only be a great president, he’d be a miracle worker!!

Best of luck, Barack!! Your going to need it :)

Yup, he is going to need all the help he can get. He still was the best choice though, and I’m glad America has spoken. Have a great weekend!

@ Ivanhoe - I’m not sure if he was the best choice? It’s like the Republicans did everything they could to lose!! Hopefully he does o.k. and actually does provide change. Have a great weekend too!!

I’m not an Obamaniac, and I’m never going to be. He’s a politician, not some sort of God. Have you seen the way Americans are acting like he’s going to save the world? It’s a wee embarrassing, if you ask me.

@ Nat - I know what you mean! But after 8 years of Bush, I guess they can’t help but get carried away :)
