The other movie from my backlog of movies that a lot of my readers suggested I see was this film. Having seen the previous two, I felt I had to complete the trilogy and see how the series ended. Almost from the time this movie starts, it just goes full steam ahead. There are very few slow points and if your not paying attention you could miss a lot.
I also like how they tied in elements for the past movies into the current plot. It really helped with the story telling and it’s always nice to have the films creators acknowledge that the audience and the fans of the series will know what’s going on. Although if this is the first film you’ve seen in the series, you won’t have the slightest clue on who some of the characters are.
Pros - Not as good as the first, but better than the second. a good way to end the series if they decide to do so. Although there are rumors going around that they may make a fourth film (I hope they don’t do it)
Cons - New viewers will be able to follow along with the basic plot. But a lot of the finer details will be lost to new viewers. You might need to see the first two films if you’re not good at remember details; to refresh your memory of what has happened in the trilogy.
Overall Rating - B +

The fourth book is out so I’m sure the movie #4 will be forthcoming as well. I want more Bourne :o)

@ Ivanhoe - 4th book?? I didn’t even know that there was one in the works. Guess I’ll have to grab it the next time that I’m at the bookstore.

I usually agree with your reviews, Lyndon, and this is no exception. This was still WAY better than the last Bond movie (the entire series was!)

Before I watched this one I made a point of rewatching the other two. I did think that this one was one of the best of them.
And BTW, I’m liking that zip thing. I got Baby Mama this past weekend and sent it back, and I’ve already got my next movie for Saturday sitting here waiting. I think the biggest trouble I’ll have is continuing to add to the list since mostly I rent new movies, having seen all the older ones already.

@ Nat - Everyone keeps saying that about the last Bond movie, almost makes me want to watch it now.
@ Jafer - Glad you like Zip, it’s been my little secret for awhile now. You definitely rent more than I do, so you are going to have a problem filling that list up.
