Here’s a few pictures that I took last week and I’m just getting around to posting. Nothing overly fantastic, but there were a couple of interesting shots. The photos were taken with my Nikon D40, using an AF 50mm f/1.8 D lens and were in JPEG and RAW formats. If you click on any of the pictures it will take you to my Flickr account were you can see larger and better quality versions.
It must suck to be a garbage can, all people do is dump stuff in you and then when the trash collectors are done, they just chuck you onto the lawn.
I was walking by and thinking how quickly things change. This entire street, a few years ago used to be an abandoned lot that housed an old bottle cap factory. Now it’s lined with houses!
My father always complains to me about cleaning out the gutters every year. “If you don’t clean them out, things will grow on them” he likes to say. I’m passing by this house and thinking something looks weird. Then I realized what it was.
I’m not sure if its weeds or grass? But apparently I’m not the only one who doesn’t like to clean out the gutters
Well that’s about it. All I have left to show you is this one last tomato pic (I promise it’s the last one) This bad boy was so big, he broke the branch that was holding him up.
Later…

LOL that’s a good one! I’m sure it does suck.
Funny you took a picture of someones house with plants growing in the gutters … we’ve had two maple trees - one at the back of the house and one at the front - for balance I guess, growing out our gutters for at least two months. I’ve been asking my husband for almost that amount of time to try to get them out of there.
He finally found a neighbor with a long enough ladder and managed to get the we’ll rooted saplings out of the gutters yesterday. Our ladder is only 16 feet and we have a very high roof so we need a huge ladder to get at the area.
